You are invited to Nimmitabel’s SteamPunk@Alitude 2024 Festival “It’s a Circus.”
Saturday May 4th & Sunday May 5th, we invite you to transport yourself to the Monaro Village of Nimmitabel to join in the fantastical era of SteamPunk@Altitude; family fun for everyone! A festival where anything can happen and anyone can join in. Be the audience, be the entertainment.
Be sure to mark your calenders, dust off your corsets and top hats and get your gear ready to join us at our annual autumn event. Come dressed in your finery as a Steampunk Traveller, an attendee to the Steampunk inspired Circus, or perhaps you are part of a Steampunk Circus! It is up to you.
Think Circus side-show not big-top. Come and have-a-go!
There will be vintage and steampunk inspired games, circus activities and workshops, music, theatre and markets, iconic buildings and locations, plus all stores on the main street of Nimmitabel open. You can join a circus workshop, race a snail, parade a pet, parade yourself, challenge a friend with tea duelling, or teapot racing! There will be music in the mill, poetry in the pub, karaoke, live theatre, a uni-cycle and penny farthing riding by, plus more.
There is no general entry fee, but for some of our program there are paid ticketed events and these will be available for pre-booking throughout April and early May from www.steampunk.in. Keep an eye out for up-dates.
