A reminder that all are invited to journey to and enjoy Nimmitabel’s SteamPunk@Altitude 2024 Festival ‘It’s a Circus’ on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th of May; when the village of Nimmitabel transforms into a hub of activity for the fantastical era of SteamPunk @Altitude with a circus twist.
You may be wondering what is happening, what’s the ‘circus’ about.
Clockwork Circus are excited to be journeying to Nimmitabel for the Steampunk @ Altitude Festival with their airship, the SS Artificer. As a travelling circus, they delight in sharing their unique blend of steampunk and circus to regional areas. With the SS Artificer as their base, they’ll be offering circus workshops for festival-goers to learn to juggle, spin plates, twirl poi, master trick sticks, and hoola-hoop. Clockwork Circus will also be wandering the festival with roving performances of juggling and stilt-walking, and they’ll have some circus goodies for sale, including handmade up-cycled juggling-balls and poi, circus themed jewellery and crafts.
Separately Speranza Starburner is travelling to Nimmitabelto perform his short family-friendly theatrical circus show on the stage of the Pioneer Memorial Hall, and ride his unicycle on the street.
The Crew of the Airship Sirius will be in residence and will be entertaining in spontaneous ways.
There will be the circus favourites of pop-corn and fairy floss. All great additions to Steampunk @ Altitude, family fun for everyone!
If you don’t have a complete outfit, that’s ok, come with what you have, you can buy more on the day if you wish. We love to see locals and visitors alike enjoying the festival. A festival where anything can happen and anyone can join in. Be the audience, be the entertainment. Come and have-a-go!
