The Royal Arms Guesthouse Nimmitabel began its life in the 1850’s as the Royal Hotel.

 

This historic Bed & Breakfast in south-eastern New South Wales is now home to the Walker family and accommodates a small number of guests in beautifully appointed bedrooms. Step out the front door and you’ll find yourself on a signposted walk through Nimmitabel’s history. A great launch site for exploring the festival after refuelling from the Royal Arms delights.

Sundowner Cafe

 

The Sundowner Cafe is located in the historic Royal Arms. It serves good food that’s prepared locally and seasonal.
The Sundowner movie has some scenes filmed in the Royal Arms.
Open Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday for Steampunk @ Altitude, 8am until 3pm.

Coaches stop at their doorstep, connecting you with Cooma/Canberra/Sydney, Bega/ NSW South Coast and to Victoria, Gippsland / Melbourne. By private vehicle the Snowfields and Alpine access is an hour away, even less for the Bega Valley coastal hinterland. An hour and a half from Canberra.
